Aaron lives in Michigan with his sweet wife Amity and has lots and lots of kids. He loves to write and illustrate and collects lots and lots of children’s books. Aaron makes his pictures with colored pencils and breaks lots and lots of pencil tips.

Howie Finds A Hug

In our busy world, it is hard for children to get all the hugs that they want and need. Children will be able to identify with this cute puppy as he sets out to get a hug. The bright colors and easy reading format will encourage my beginning readers to pick this book up to read. I love the way this book allows the children to get a peek at a happy, loving family.

Wow. Great family dynamics.
Howie gets lost in the shuffle of family life.
But in the end EVERYONE shows him he is loved with a big family hug!
This one seems to be a favorite.
I hear this a lot: Grama, read the one where Howie wants a hug!
This book tugs at your heart! We all just want to be loved.
Fun for kids, very insightful for grown-ups!

Bits of Religion slipped in...

This book is sweet, as most I Can Read Pre- Readers. Unfortunately, the format is a bit off. The story is also shorter than the ones we have purchased in stores. Finally, be prepared that the family has prayer at dinner and the book points out that family is a gift from God. If your family is not one of faith, you will want to skip this one.
